Privacy Policy

Retirement Countdown+ is made by The Media Work. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the app stores and what leaves your phone.
What stays on your phone
Your retirement date, your working pattern, your holidays and leave, your bucket list, your chosen theme and any photo you pick are all stored on your own device. They are not sent to us, and we cannot see them. There is no account to create and no sign-in.
If you use the backup feature, the file it produces is saved wherever you choose to put it. It stays under your control.
What we do not do
- We do not collect your name, email address or location.
- There are no adverts, and no advertising or tracking services in the app.
- There are no analytics measuring how you use the app.
- We do not sell or share data with anyone for marketing.
Purchases
If you buy the one-off unlock, the payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your card details.
We use a service called RevenueCat to check that a purchase is valid and to restore it if you change phone or reinstall the app. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated identifier and a record of what was bought. It does not receive your name, your email address or your payment details, and the information is not used for advertising or tracking.
If you would like that purchase record deleted, email [email protected] and we will arrange it.
Photos
If you choose a photo as your background, the app asks permission to open your photo library. The picture you pick is used on your device only. It is never uploaded.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily nudge, the reminder is scheduled by your phone. Nothing is sent through our servers, because there are none.
Children
The app is not aimed at children and collects nothing that would identify anyone.
Changes
If the app ever starts collecting something it does not collect today, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the store privacy labels will be updated to match.
